Continued Success in Iraq

The still working General, spokesman for the US Military in Iraq, Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch, announced that our forces killed Rafid Ibrahim Fattah, also known by his nom de guerre Abu Umar al-Kurdi, near Baquba, Iraq, last month. We also captured Mohammed Hilal Hammad Ubaydi, also known as Abu Ayman, a close aide of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and former aide to the Iraqi intelligence chief. Rafid was called the ambassador from al Qaeda and was a liaison between various terrorist outfits. Mohammed Hilal is a top suspect in the kidnapping of Italian communist Guiliana Sgrena.

On the other hand, it looks like the ever decreasing US troop war deaths in Iraq over the past months is going to end big time this month.

Comments:
Are you starting to see a pattern yet?

Yes, the dreaded spring offensive.

Yep, It was a slow winter, even slower than before, but it looks like they may really get going again.

I imagine as time goes on it will get less and less sporadic, and more concentrated. Maybe we will get a whole day without an attack (which I don't think has even come close to happening yet).

But in the end, the result will be the same. All they have to do is keep the average up, and disatisfaction at home builds.

What a sad, sick little game.

Oh,

And since Iraqi casualties are way up, if they can sustain this level on coalition forces, they show progress.

No way to interpret it but loosing ground even though they just cought like the ninth number 2. They don't even call them "number 2" any more... because it just sounds silly, over and over again.
