Thought of the Day

Public schools are government-established, politician- and bureaucrat-controlled, fully politicized, taxpayer-supported, authoritarian socialist institutions. In fact, the public-school system is one of the purest examples of socialism existing in America.

Thomas L. Johnson (and they graduate ever less educated students each year)

Comments:
And who, pray tell, is Thomas L. Johnson? The gut from the U opf MN?

The truest words of the day.

Mark Dunn

"And who, pray tell, is Thomas L. Johnson?"

Why would it matter? (I trust you aren't planning to deploy an "Appeal to Authority" fallacy.)

Apparently, Mr. Johnson is not a household name, but what he said appears to be pretty good. Mark Dunn liked it.

I think the context is important. Ids it Thomas L. Johnson the Psychology professor from the U of MN? Is it Thomas L. Johnson the Executive Dierector of the Associated Contractors of Texas? Is it Thomas L. Johnson b. 1836 author of "Africa for Christ, Twenty-eight Years a Slave?" IOs it Thomas L. Johnson who was mayor of Cleveland, OH in 1905? Is it Thomas L. Johnson, attorney w/ Gray, Plant Mooty? Is it Thomas L. Johnson professor emeritus of Bilogical Sciences at Mary Washington College? Is it Thomas L. Johnson the author of "A True Likeness?" Or some otyher Thomas L. Johnson?

No clue, duk. Are you such an intellectual snob that only famous people's sayings matter? And do you really believe you need to context to get that statement? I would have thought it stood on its own.

That's why we put the Son and Heir through a Jesuit high school...
