Contempt of Congress

There is speculation that the Democrats in Congress, who seem more interested in investigating trivia than in passing the promised Democrat version of the contract with America, will seek to hold Sarah Taylor in contempt of congress for asserting executive privilege. Contempt of Congress. That's a concept.

Rog,

I'll let you know. Thing is, you'll have to stand in line.

The gilt is off the Imperial Presidency. Had it all been really about about honor and duty instead of greed, vainglory, and power.

Those shadows overhead? They be the vultures, coming home to roost.

TFP. "The Failed Presidency."
There were great challenges. But ultimately, why we should be surprised when we elected not ready for varsity material.

Bush has made plenty of mistakes, but like Truman, he'll rise in stature over the years. I'm ready for a real conservative in the White House.

"but like Truman, he'll rise in stature over the years."

Rog,

I tell you what, let's buy a botttle of Nouveau Beaujelais and something that will age well.

Let's both of us shoot for 75 and if Bush rises in stature, I will drink the Beaujelais which will have long since turned to vinegar. If, as I believe, his stature remains as is or even sinks, I drink the good stuff and you drink the Beaujelais.

"Peter b, master of the bold prediction of the future."

Hey Roger, considering the majority of predictions you've made over the past few years, you'd do well to follow my example.

I was wrong about the '06 midterms. I've been pretty good about the other stuff. If I can see it in the part of my mind that recognizes gravity, I'll say it. If I'm wrong, brave sir peter b, I'll be wrong.
